DRYING RATE : Slow to moderate to give fast production
rate.
COMPATIBILITY : Shreevyl SC-70 is compatible with
solutions of Polyvinyl alcohol, cellulose derivative Melamine
formaldehyde condensate, urea formaldehyde condensate, softners,
PV acetate homopolymer, extenders like very fine calcium
carbonate, fine kaolin clay in minor %. The drying rate
and bonding time can be reduced by adding upto 5% of cyclo
hexanon in case of cigarette shell pasting.
APPLICATION TECHNIQUES
For Cigarette Industries :
Both
cork tipping and shell/side pasting is carried out by high
speed roller coating.
For
Textile Industries :
SHREEVYL
SC-70 imparts a fuller, durable and flexible finish to textile
fabrics. The application is on padding mangle. The padding
solution is generally kept at room temperature to 700 C.
The liquor must be stirred will before use if operations
are stopped for some period. As drying is carried out at
about 45-800 C, the fabric must be well squeezed out before
passing over the dry rollers to avoid sticking of the fabric
to the hot rollers.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Depending
on the material, the finish whether hard/stiff to soft needed,
SC-70 can be suitably blended with Shreevyl N-50.
